How do you tell a premium quality coconut oil from the rest?

Coconut oil naturally changes state from liquid oil to solid mass depending on its temperature.

The purity/quality of any coconut oil can be judged by a simple visual test. Coconut oil, in its liquid state should be crystal clear (above approx’ 25C/?? F) and should be pure white in its solid form. (below approx’ 18C/ ??F)

If a liquid oil is preferred for a specific use (e.g. blending in a smoothie or salad dressing), simply heat in a bowl within a bowl of hot tap water - it will melt quickly.

Because Virgin Coconut Oil is high in natural anti-oxidants, it is not necessary to refrigerate it. Simply keep it in the pantry cupboard exactly as you would other cooking oils. It will remain fresh for a year or more.

It is easy to use - just scoop as much as you need out of the jar on a knife blade or in a measuring spoon. Because it is soft and creamy, it creams easily into flour for baking and quickly melts in the pan to liquid oil for frying.
