This amazing new skin balm has been formulated by an Eczema sufferer, Gilly Godward, who had tried everything! Through years of personal trial and error, a lot of heartache and much despair, this formulation evolved based on four key objectives:

This is a 100% natural balm specifically for Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis, Nappy Rash.

Directions for use: Gilly's Skin Balm is a thick hydrating balm so a little goes a long way. Take a small amount and rub it gently in to the skin working it deeply in to the skin. The balm can safely be used around the eyes as it is a thick balm (although always patch test first)

EASE THE ITCH & INFLAMATION: Colloidal Oatmeal was included for its 'anti-itch' properties that can help to provide relief for itchy skin. As well studies have shown that Colloidal Oatmeal binds to the skin and provides a protective barrier against irritants which is just so important for people with compromised skin. The fats contained in oatmeal also add to its hydrating activity. Baobab Oil is a rich source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 that can help to minimise the inflammation.

PROVIDE HYDRATION & A BARRIER: Beeswax, Olive Oil and Colloidal Oatmeal all work to provide adequate hydration for the skin as well as a barrier against irritants. This is very important for compromised skin, and helps the skin from cracking and drying out.

MINIMISE THE INFECTION: Skin with Eczema and Psoriasis has been shown to have higher levels of staphyloccus aureus bacteria than other people without skin conditions….even in places that are not inflamed! Colloidal Silver and Iodine both have antibacterial properties that may help to minimise the infection. Keeping the skin adequately hydrated and providing a barrier also helps to stop the skin from cracking and hence minimises the chance of infection.

Natural Variations: As this is an all-natural skin balm there may be variances in each batch. Sometimes separation can occur, so just mix the balm thoroughly. Rest assured the active ingredients are still just as effective.

Other: If you are coming off hydrocortisone creams the skin can sometimes have a reaction called Red Skin Syndrome. Persist as it can take some time to see a result. If your symptoms persist see your health professional.

Patch Test: For very sensitive individuals, patch test a small amount on skin that is not affected. We recommend that you patch test for all babies and toddlers on an area of unaffected skin and wait for 24 hours to see if their is a reaction. It's uncommon but as baby skin is so sensitive and everybody is different, we really recommend this.

Sample Pots: We don't do sample pots because you really need to use the balm for a few weeks to give it a good try. In saying that if it doesn't work for your main skin problem, you can always use it for dry cracked heels, as a lip balm or on rough elbows.
